Speed checks carried out in your area

Following concerns about speeding locally, we have been carrying out a number of speed checks in the area over the past couple of weeks.

On Thursday 27th August, we joined Community Drivesafe Volunteers on Pixmore Way where we monitored vehicle speeds and helped raised awareness of speeding. The scheme is a great way for local volunteers to work alongside us to encourage drivers to slow down and make our roads safer.

A huge thank you to our Community Drivesafe Volunteers for giving their time to support these checks.

We have also carried out additional speed checks at other locations including Wilbury Rd, Norton Rd and Norton Way North. These checks help us respond to concerns from residents, identify vehicles exceeding the speed limit and provide a visible deterrent.

It was also a good opportunity to speak with local residents and hear directly about the issues that matter to them.

We are planning further speed checks at other relocations across the area continuing to work with local residents to address concerns and help keep our roads safe.
